Speed test taken this evening at 22:10

Ping 215ms...Download 0.45Mbps...Upload 0.25Mbps

Paying for 2meg is the above reasonable?

Taking forever to download anything.

Even Torres can get a ball down onto the ground more quickly than that ! Seems to be more "duped than "Scooped". Give them a red card and the penalty of refund.

I have Multimax 4mb and I regularly get higher than 4mb download - not in a speed test but in real downloads via utorrent.

However, out of interest I just now tried Speedtest using the server at Antalya. I got:-

Ping: 21ms Download: 6.05 mbps Upload: 3.33 mbps

I've just done a speed test and the result is: Ping: 338ms Download: 0.85 mbps Upload: 0.20mbps

Needless to say we have been complaining for months, had various things 'changed' or 'altered', they say.

We will be moving to Multimax very soon, even though we will be losing out on our 12 month contract.

Nethouse on a 4mb ADSL package. Speed test to Limasol now: Ping 362MS, download 0.77Mbps upload 0.25 Mbps.

To Antalya now: Ping 51MS, download 2.94Mbps upload 0.86Mbps.

Have never, ever had higher than 3.52Mps since upgrade to 4Mb so off to Multimax at the end of this contract period.

My Partner took the months trial with Multi max using the 4mb download 2 Mb upload During "peak" periods only getting 1.25Mb Upload .75 download,Went to the office and spoke to them about it and they just said But you get 5/6 Mbs on off peak so it balances its self out.Not really what I wanted to here,as I thought I would get 4mbs almost constantly.Where do you go from here? Not really that sure of anybody anymore.

I have noticed before that Limassol, although close, always gives bad returns - maybe because of the relations between RoC and Turkey.

It is more realistic to use servers in Turkey because that is the route that all our traffic takes.

Write an email to your (any TRNC) provider stating what you want and expect and what you are promised.

Ask for a signed reply.

Will you get an answer?

Hmm.

The whole system sucks because of the poor infrastructure.

One of the first things I noticed on my return to the UK was the broadband speed, fantastic! I have a package with Sky which includes broadband, telephone and TV (not the full package) and that costs £20 a month.

Sadly Matula, we're a captive audience here.

How did last nights result go down with the locals?
