hi all,

been here 2 years and have not had a better British traditional Sunday Lunch. Efendi's is in the old part of Girne great food lovely location, price very reasonable and the service excellent.

Not in the habit off seeking out British grub, thought we would give it a try and glad we did. No personal connection to the restaurant felt though it was well worth a mention on the forum.

I was at Efendi two weeks ago and thought I had had the best Sunday roast ever in the TRNC. The next week I went to the Fez and I have to say that it was even better there! Both are excellent and you will not be disappointed.

Mc will do my best with directions,,

Into Girne, courts on right telephone booths on left, 1st turn left, go 200 yds fork in road take left one way system go 200 yards t jct turn right 100 yds Efendi's on the right. the establishment is poorly defined as a restaurant and is dissappointing outside, you will however be pleasantly surprised by the interior and the grub. hope you find it and enjoy the food and hospitality as we did.

spud1 I was wondering how long it would take for you to try it on, first response was on the cards well done, once a wind up merchant always a W... .. etc etc.

Hi spud1

Sorry thought you were on a wind up, I will not draw comparisions, both are very good although I have not had a traditional British Sunday lunch at the Korineum.

Nice to have met you even though it was brief and I had probably sunk a few bevvies.

Course at the mo a little the worse for wear and necessary ongoing maintenence, only back nine playable, next week is the reverse.

Hi Spud1,

will do my best, however I normally play on a Wed and Sat would either of these days do, if not I will try and negotiate with the BOSS and seek her permissions .

Give me a reminder as your trip nears I'm sure we can sort a game out.

I would not think a booking is necessary but it it lets the staff know in advance numbers eating.

Just had a great thought, a little wager on our game, loser buys Sunday lunch at Efendi's. I know I have the edge on course knowledge so might adjust and play off scratch!!! both off us that is.

Littlenige,

No the Fez are now charging in Lira. They probably learned from their mistake when the Pound to the Lira collapsed to 2.20YTL to the pound last year.

You can still pay them with Sterling and the daily rate is clearly displayed.
