Have just been sent this link below to watch internet TV. http://www.satellitedirect.com/ Does 6 m's or one of the other experts in this field know whether it would work in the TRNC or do will still need a VPN in the UK to receive TV via the internet and if so would the download speeds be sufficient by satellite ? Thanks whoever for your advice.

do not download they are just rubbish, Satellitedirect and Streamdirect TV need a lot of bandwidth and even then you will have trouble, you will also need to download DivX player, VLC player, Quicktime player, and soapcast, I could email Streamdirect to you, it's a rar file of about 3 meg it's autocracked and it will install all the players mentioned, it says that you can watch over 4,000 TV channels, if you get 1 that's good you will be very lucky, do not spend any money on those types of programmes, Robert

This is a complete scam, you get nothing for your money evenif you have gigabytes of bandwidth. Just Google 'is satellite direct a scam' and you will get an answer from many who have lost moey on this. Its a useful thing to do for anything that comes up on the web as there are always people who have tried before you for all of these 'to good to be true' offers.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice given. I was suspicious so that is why I asked the question. There is always someone trying to make a fast buck at others' expense.

If you want to try a satellite TV, to find out if it's suitable in North Cyprus, download TVU Player v2.5.3.1 it's free and has the same amount of TV stations as all the others that you pay $40 or $50 for. just google it, download it, install it, and you will find it's just the same as the others, this is the link if you want to download it http://www.freeware4pc.com/multimedia/tvuplayer.shtml the progrmme is ok and proberbly works better than the others, Robert
