Tables are still free for all stallholders. Just turn up and ask for Nicky.



A couple of the stallholders are on holiday this week but we also have two new stalls coming which will be selling cards and also food.

I've been reminded that the restaurant are putting on a special menu for market days as follows:



1 meal for 12tl, 2 meals for 18tl



Fish, chips & peas

Tuna salad

Liver, onions & mash

Egg, chips & peas

Chick shish, chips & salad

Omlette, chips & salad

By the way, for people thinking of coming to Açmenya restaurant tomorrow for the market, either as stallholder or customer, the directions are:



Driving from Girne towards Lapta, at Astro supermarket, or the Golden Lady statue, bear left. Then take the next turning on the left and around 100yds along the road on the right hand side is the Açmenya restaurant.

Hi Hippo and Julia, sorry I missed your messages today.



Eggs, chips and peas is what is written on the menu - I'd prefer beans too! They're very amenable in the restaurant, perhaps they'll oblige if you ask for something else. I was also told today that the usual menu is still available if anyone wants to order from that instead.



Julia, yes the market was on today as planned. Inside though today, rather than as last week when we were all sunning ourselves outside!



Thanks to those customers who braved the weather to come and see us today.



There was a good range of stalls today, including a surprise celebrity appearance(!) and although there's another couple of stalls on holiday next week we have some more new stalls signed up to be with us next week too. So please keep coming, this market can only continue to improve the more customers we have and the more stall holders that are encouraged to keep coming back.

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to keep you guessing cos he (well a little clue!) is planning to make a special appearance for us one of these Thursday afternoons.



You'll just have to come along to see us at the market to find out who it is. I couldn't possibly tell more!



But I can tell you about a couple of treats that were added to the range of stalls on offer this week:



1) some lovely artwork and original paintings are on sale and the artist (sorry I don't know her name) does some excellent portrait work;

2) yummy Chinese and Indian meals. The meals are frozen so you can take plenty home and store for future meals. The cook is bringing Cyprus' very own 'Creggs' Steak Slices too.

And for those with a sweeter tooth, how about Bakewell tarts?

will be there with lots of stuff ladies clothes big sizes, girls clothes, books, cds including series frost, wire in the blood prime suspect, towels ect all must go so silly prices

Our surprise celebrity will be there too, bet you can't figure out who it is, for his build up to our Christmas market day which will be held next week, Thursday 22nd December.

Hi Pete,

The market starts at 11am and goes on until around 2.30ish, although it is schedled until 3pm, by then stallholders are packing, or have packed, away at the moment. Once more customers are visiting and we're getting busier the market will probably carry on until later.



For stallholders you need to get there around 10.30ish to find Barbara or Ron to get you table allocated to you.
