Is it true - Not allowed hire cars/pickups at Ercan

I heard from a friend that you are not allowed to have hire cars delivered to Ercan airport anymore. Does anyone know if this is true?



I know that there was a thing a while back that only registered Taxi's and/or family members could pick up their relatives from the airport, but I didn't think that it included dropping off hire cars.

No, this is not true. Baspinar Rent a Car regularlly deliver cars to me at Ercan and they have also informed me that this is not true and I am sure if this was true they would know.

The car hire companies that we use have no problems.

We have no one booked at present (last week or this) so I can't tell if there is a very recent change.
