The burial ground between Lapta and Karsiyaka belongs to Lapta Belediye. The non-muslim part of the cemetery is at the top. You would need to ask the Belediye how much they are charging now - it was about 400 quid. This covered preparing the plot and supplying transport and workmen on the day of the funeral. Can't say that I'm remotely happy about the state of the place and I can't imagine that anybody else who has a family member buried there would be either. Various people at the Belediye made a number of promises about what was to be done up there in respect of walls, water supply, paving etc but very few of them have been kept!

The BRS has a lady who deals with this subject. She is excellent. I won't name her but contact the BRS for details.

Frankly, there is little point in dealing with the BRS for a burial in Lapta Cemetery - the Belediye will do everything necessary. It's easy enough to deal with associated paperwork yourself and I do speak from experience.

I went to the cemetery yesterday to lay some flowers on a grave. As I was standing there I noticed 4 grave diggers walking about with a coffin . . . 3 hours later and they're still walking about with it. . . I thought to myself, these w*n**rs have lost the plot!!
