You can do on your computer!!!

Traffic reports every half hour.....so many accidents, breakdowns on UK roads !!

AND bad weather reports..roads closed snow, flooded etc.

I love living here in TRNC

Have to agree with Rowlo Mikelapta, love listening to Radio 2 but do not feel the glee you obviously feel listening to other peoples' misery. I too am grateful for what we have here, but have kids in the UK as many of us do who have to live with the news you obviously need to give you some sort of perverted lift. Get a life.

It's not so bad here in the uk! although I live in the North of England and not like rowlo in "windy" Scotland!

natalie (mess 5)

It's not misery (just life in the uk)

The BBC should have an internet channel just for expats living in the sun. 24 hours each day of traffic, weather, news and Money Matters. I've even got a name for it - Radio Schadenfreude!

I was a bit like you Mike listening to tales of woe in the UK but would much rather be "stuck" here in the UK than TRNC.

Of the 3 years I spent in the TRNC I wanted to spend every Xmas back in the UK & the olny reason I look at C44 now is to remind me how lucky I/we are not to live there anymore. Take away the sun & the TRNC hasnt much to offer really has it apart from "cheap" property which isnt everything but then again probably is to most of the cheap skates living there.

If living in the TRNC taught me one thing then it is this.......... as bad as the UK may seem it is not as bad as some would have you believe.

You can keep your roads, your racism, your clikiness, your shopping, your residency's, your weather & most of all you can keep all those tossers that will one day want to come crawling back to the UK that have happilly slagged off this country to anyone who would listen.

When it all kicks off in the middle east next year you lot are on your own.......

Since I'm interested in quality newspapers (on the day they're published)..theatre, live music gigs (not karaoke or tribute bands), live professional sport, access to book shops....NHS, Welfare State....my family!

And not interested in people that don't realise that Everest has been climbed.... well, the answer is obvious!

The question was..............anyone listen to Radio 2 in the TRNC.

I do.

However we get 'plonkers' like message 10 and 11 giving us their bitter and twisted opinions of life in the TRNC.

Life is what you make it my friend!

You are obviously 2 sad cases who prefer life in the UK.......I'm pleased for you, but for some reason you still read this forum...................Why!

Natalie,I expressed no "glee"at the conditions in UK.I too have 4 grown up offspring throughout UK,and a few gkids.I also spent over 30years travelling the roads of Wales, and Motorways to Manchester.

There just seem to be so many accidents on the roads in UK,these days.I recall, apart from a few days of snow in Wales, the major delays were the convoys of "usually"English caravans, from Easter onwards.

I have been here over 3 years and love it !!Another coffee outside, and collected tomatoes from the garden for breakfast !!!

Ah well now to clear the leaves from the pool, and gather more bananas.

Another "gleeless"post?

Donga, kick off in the Middle East next year?..I think we are safer in TRNC with the might of the Turkish Army as our neighbours !!!!!
