Hello

I have a small apartment in Lapta that I had hoped to sell but with the market as it is, it has not sold. I would like to let it out and had placed it in the hands of an estate agent but I now discover that they have not even advertised it! It's brand new, 2 bedrooms, (little) sea view, nice position - does anyone have any advice on how best to let it or sell it. I live in France so it is not easy to come over regularly but I will be over in January to try to sort this out.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Savoy, if you have no joy with Guin then I would suggest you post as much information about the flat as possible here and on other TRNC BBs on a regular basis. Don't forget though that if you do not use an agent you will need to organise a tenancy agreement at some point. A friend of mine has an apartment here and used Donaghy and Beyler as her rental agent. They found a tenant within a couple of weeks and were very choosy (they held out for a professional person despite lots of interest from students). If you are interested in speaking to them then I would recommend you email verda@donaghyandbeyler.com. The other benefit of using an agent is that they will pay the rental tax on your behalf and deal with any problems. They also ensure that the utilities are paid.

if you are thinking of renting how much are you looking for, have a work collegue who is looking for a place to rent very long term between 1 or 2 years and looking to pay about £250 per month.{ just him and his wife to be }

Talking of Partners Abroad Porky, they have an offer of a resale on Rightmove this week. It in the new Starlight block above Lapta - at a price Halil offered me 3 weeks ago. Is that yours by any chance?
