According to the TRNC census carried out on the 4th December, the popullation of TRNC is 294,000.



What an utter Boll..ks and shambles the whole thing has turned out to be.

Erkin,you must lower your expectations and not expect things to be done properly in a pirate,made up place.Where majority of pirates think,all was done and dusted in 74.

I hard the statistics show that there are 40,000 more people here than at the last census. Where the heck are they all??????

Many many people I know went out of the country or to the mountains and were not counted.The numbers makes the government stupid look.

In a speach on the 20th July 2011, the President stated that the poppulation of TRNC was nearly 400,000 and then the Turkish PM asked why not 1 million,



If the president goes on TV and quotes the statistic at around 400,000 people then less than 6 months later we are down to 294,000, people start asking whose figuires are correct, In 2004 217,000 people voted in the annan plan, in 2009 elections 256,000 people were issued with voting ballots, and according to the Ministry of Education we have 53000 students between 5-18 years



so if we have 256000 voting in 2009 and 53000 students = 309,000 people and these not not include infants 0-4 age group.

so are we to assume that 15000 have fled the country since 2009, don't think so. also considering that TRNC is fighting to keep over 150,000 mainlanders in the country in the event of any agreement total thing has turned into sahmbles, even the UN office is find it hard to belive the count.

Now if they made we ex pats citizens (as we want to be) they could get a few hundred more onto the statistics of 'real;' people. and ye,s loads hid or run away or were ignored. so, what IS the true figure, and to what end. I think it was a joke that the lovely lady for my details arrived 15 minutes before I was to depart for the airport taking our son who was leaving after a week's holiday. But hang on - he had to have his statistics recorded! and he was leaving! so what does that count in and for? While others I know sat and waited with the patience of |Job and were ignored, while the squatters deserted their 'homes;' and took to the hills.

But I thought this was to ascertain the number of TC'S ? hO HUM!
