1pm today at Koruçam at the Village Wine House and the Church

Koruçam is a lovely Maronite Village not too far from Camlibel. The centre piece of the village is the beautiful church. From 1pm today The Village Wine House is inviting us for mince pies and mulled wine along with a visit to the church for lighting candles and carol singing.

What a fabulous afternoon. The Village Wine House is a lovely stone building in the middle of Koruçam where we all met up for a visit to St. Georges Church. After a chat and a drink we went to the church to light candles and look at the inside of this remarkable church. I had no real idea what the Maronite religion was, but was surprised to find confessionals inside, so I gather it is near or close to the Catholic religion. So after lighting candles and looking around at the paintings and stained glass windows, we wandered back to The Village Wine House. We were looked after very well by our hosts Amy and Richard, with mulled wine and mince pies and more canapes to follow. We then all took part in singing Christmas songs and carols - a very good afternoon and in good company.

I believe a similar event is being held on the 21st December.

BTW please ignore the dates on the photo's. My husband changed the batteries in the camera and forgot to update the date. hehehe

Hubby and I also had a great afternoon at The Wine House.Many thanks to Richard and Amy,everyone who waited on us,Jenny and all the singers.Haven't sung like that for ages,came home quite up lifted.Might even go again next week and sing some more.Thank you guys.
