100% agree with LandP, Multimax by far the best, have tried the others and there's no comparison for customer service and internet provision.

It is hard to know if your question is serious andre514, given the 'humorous' alternative names you give for each company. In case it is a serious question all three companies offer both ADSL based services as well as wireless based ones.

Nethouse just lowered their ADSL price to 399 for a year - TOO LATE - go with Multimax @ 250 for a year. I did and am very happy with their service and support.

AviaAgency, Of the two you ask about... I would say eXtend are the better but Multimax have a growing reputation that is fast outstripping the opposition... new kit and a wealth of experience to boot. If they are available - and they will tell you honestly how good your area is for coverage/bandwidth - I would go for them.

I moved from Extend to Nethouse two years ago, when Extend decided to close their Girne office, and ignore calls. Nethouse had been good up until three months ago when I paid to upgrade to their 4Mb package, and I found that I was very rarely getting 4MB, in fact at times I was getting 1MB, less than my previous package, when I complained I was told what I had actually bought was Nethouses ECO 4MB package, which says on the tin ( apparently ) that you might get 4MB if its available, but if its not, you get whatever they can give you. So it looks like Multimax for me in the New Year unless something changes quickly. Steve.

Hi there, Extend is a trademark. It's under a new ownership now - Aydogan Group. What I suggest you do is to find out who owned the company during times of poor service.İf you ask any of the folks that had Internet service for the past 5 years should know who the owner was. Aydogan Group owns many quality names such as - Fog TV, Hititbet, King's bowling,Kıbrıs İnsaat and many other international companies. We currently serve the most prestigious companies in Cyprus. If you do little research on google, you can solve the puzzle. Thank you

Been there, done that, old T Shirts available!!! Started with TIC (Good provider in early days of wireless provision), moved onto Extend when TIC sold up, service went downhill! Stuck with it for a while then moved to Nethouse. Service ok but expensive so moved on to Multimax, no real complaints about Nethouse at all but the cost became silly. Best service provider I have used and cheaper than most as well. I know the answer to msg 14 and will email you with it Cem as I would not put it onto a public forum, but I would still stick with Multimax. They have spent money and time on their new infrastructure and maintain good communications with there customers. That is all anybody wants - good communications!!!!

Well isn't that interesting? 2 new users (16 & 17) each with a single post that praises Extend. Now if I were cynical I might think that it was a put up job and not genuine customer praise at all- and I might question why any company would need to invent customer recommendations.

| Jovial John, as an Agent for eXtend, I have hundreds of satisfied customers who are very happy with the 7 days customer support I have given them and still give them in the 4 years that I have been an agent for eXtend and for 4 years before that with our internet business. I would say, if someone is still willing to look after the customers and answer the phone on a Sunday/Bayrams etc for that length of time, they should be the person/people to deal with. | Looking at these posts I think I will be right behind Mrs Snakes, I have had Nethouse for about 5 years now, no complaints with the internet connection but could improve on customer services and prices! |

Hi Mick (response to message 15), I can assure you no one has spend more on infrastructure than us. I am willing to install and compare our services with any ISP's on this island. I know the game that's being played here - just playing along. I am try to warn people of games being played. People want to get what they pay for, good service at good prices, good customer service, people they can reach at times of trouble and honesty. My answer and choice is definitely Extend.I use it and I am very happy with it. Good honest communication

Have been with Nethouse for over 2 years. Will prob change to Multimax when contract expires. Reasons.....for same price Multimax offer 4 times bandwidth plus any disturbance in service they will give extension to your contract. Plus you can actually get hold of them. With Nethouse any problems you spend a fortune on the phone trying to contact them.

LooseBoots, I can highly recommend eXtend. As an agent for them you will be able to phone me 7 days a week. It doesn't cost you anymore. I can normally diagnose what the problem is and if a service call needs arranging, I will book it in (normally next day). Don't forget, we (my husband, son and myself) have been answering our phones for 8 years now. We have many very happy and satisfied customers. Gwyn 0533 869 4371

I have read this thread with interest. I am with Nethouse on a 4MB package. At best this is not good at worst not connecting. I have posted about available VPN's, these are available free with other internet providers, and had no response. Other providers are offering double bandwith. Nethouse. Nothing. I am tied to this company until December, but, am already looking at better service, better customer service. It's about time Nethouse responded in their defence I think. Stu

I have to agree with Stu. I have also posted in support of Nethouse, having been with them for some time. I am however getting a little fed up with their poor customer service and lack of care for existing customers. Where are their offers of better bandwidth overnight etc? Multimax are not available in my area, and to be honest, now I know of Kemals history with Extend I doubt I would trust them. There is no way on this planet I would allow Extend any where near my house ever again, so not sure what other options are available at this time. We shall have to see!

Giles, It is obviously an enormously competitive market and my allegiance would remain with Nethouse if they would only cater more for their existing customers. Response from Nethouse in this direction would be appreciated Stu.

All my extend problems were after Arinet took over, any during the "Kemal period" were dealt with promptly and efficiently including personal co-respondence with "the boss" himself. Tried several, TIC, Extend, Dongles. Multimax the best yet several country miles. Message 14 the company was Arinet, what have you changed since ownership? Perhaps it would be better to concentrate on that that give cryptic digs at previous owners.

It seems that Multimax are providing the most sought after internet at present. I cannot comment on that as I do not have the luxury of their services. However. This thread is titled towards the merits of Extend and Nethouse. Being a Nethouse customer I am selfishly directing my questions there. Would Nethouse like to comment in any way, shape or form? Stu

Dear islandgirl, (message 33) are you Kemal's bit on the side?. A paid staff? We the bosses deal directly with customers not occasionally It took us one year to sort out all the mess letf from the times you are talking about. And Arinet never took over the company get your facts straight. Ok what changed, I will list a few: 1.Paid employees 6 months of salaries they never got 2.Paid all the social security and retirements payrments to government that were not paid for long long time.2 years I think 3.Have laid out 20 times more Fiber optic links 4.Renewen all equipment 5.Rewrote all the customer related software 6.Redesigned the web site 7.Enabled online payments 8.Increaed bandwidth 4 times more 9.Threw away all the servers and have all rack mountable IBM servers 10.Have purchased new generators 11.Have rechanged all the UPS's 12.Have 20 fold number of Base station sites.... .700.....but ı don't have the time Don't use this site to cheat people please..

Dear Giles (mestsage 30), I had quite a few people that said similar things to me ( I would never allow Extend....no way if it's extend)... So I offered them a free service for a determined time ( 1 2 3 months) come try please and if it's anything but what we say it is, we come and take our equipment back. Think of it like this - America was very different during Clinton times than George Bush (the son) times It's still a great country but who runs it makes a big difference trust me Kind Regards

Message 38. Kemal's "bit on the side" really, I thought with your "impressive CV you would not revert to cheap shots like that, I suggest you take it back as it is untrue, unfounded and frankly very silly. So if I am so wrong with Arinet, please enlighten us, it was one of the staff that told me it was Arinet. Perhaps you could give us a time line. Don't knock me for supporting one of your competitors, I have been through several companies now, as Mentioned MM is so far the best, something agreed by many on this board.
