Today's market at Açmenya Restaurant

It was a really good day today at the Açmenya market in Alsancak, a good time was had by all I think.



Although she did express her thanks at the market Nicky has asked me to post a huge thanks again to all the stallholders for their continued support of the market and to the customers who came too. Hopefully those customers will pass on the word that for a nice lunchtime treat and a lazy wander around some interesting stalls, there's nowhere better to go on a Thursday than to the Açmenya. Only through positive promotion and word of mouth can we continue to get more and more people visiting us. And it's great to see some regular faces keep coming back so we must be doing something right!



Special thanks must also go to Betty for her lovely cakes that were given to every customer and stallholder, and last but not least thanks go to our special guest Easy G who gave his time to keep us entertained all afternoon in the sunshine listening to all the old favourite Christmas songs.

I agree. I popped in for a few minutes, and was impressed with the atmosphere, the weather and my free cake (even if I shared the calories with a friend!)



I do hope that others will take a peek in the New Year as there is much to offer, including a good cup of coffee in the sunshine!
