I have a sale going through at the moment, being rather suspicious of the Credability of some 'Lawyers/Advokats' here , I followed some good advice and engaged Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu of http://www.lawyercyprus.com/, does exactly what it says on the tin, has explained every step and saved me some money into the bargain!!!, when do I settle his Bill????, No rush, When I am ready!!!, Sure makes a change from the penny pinching barstewards that I had dealings with in the UK

So strange in the TRNC! "settle your bill when you are ready" most UK penny pinching barstewards, have never billed until they have done their work! unlike Akil & Gurkan who always want their money UP FRONT! perhaps Oguzhan Hasipoglu is making a new way forward as it says on the tin what a breath of fresh air for the TRNC economy it certainly needs a way forward............. with Advocat's that don't want their money until they have done their work.................. certainly Munir Akil would never ever advocate that :-(

ttoli you have found a rose between thorns "How clever are you"!!!!!!

Sorry!!!, I Don't get your point , the Solicitors that I had dealings with in the UK,(as recommended by the Law Society), for both an Inheritence and subsequent property sale, held onto the funds until thier bill had been paid (and no doubt some interest earned), H&A Haven't, thus I am more than willing to recommend them.

How clever Am I ???, I did My Home work and checked them out before commiting.

Have to congratulate you on your homework ttoli, seems you missed this though. I am sure the K5 victims who use him had no idea of his connections with the Bank either.

One should only ever recommend their Advocates, Estate Agents and Builders when they have their title deeds."A sale going through" means that at this stage you have no idea if he his reliable.

Remember this?

Most did their homework, some caught caught, some did not - the difference - dumb ass luck, no more no less.

People coming on saying differently are just plain wrong. I would never give a recommendation, how can anyone be sure until they have their PTP followed by the Kocan and then there is the ongoing problem of the fact that most of us are on Greek Cypriot land. Take nothing for granted and you will not be disappointed.

Yes you are right ttoli. I wrongly presumed you to be a buyer. I have reread your post and can now see that you did not mention either way. My apologies.

I still think though, that you should wait until completion before you recommend any advocates.

Good Luck with your transaction!

Having used a very 'duff' advocate: Sener Law Firm - who dropped me in the biggest mess possible which is ongoing. I transferred to H & A (the same as message one) - they have been great and have done what is said on the tin!!!!!

They also gave me the costs for services, in writing, prior to my agreement being requested - cannot fault them.
