Looks like Julie is DRUNK again! Grow up woman and stop filling this board with news that isn't news and scenarios that don't exist. You got your settlement now give it up. YOU were NEVER done over by the Unwins. You were screwed by your BUILDER. Name and Shame him and not the Unwins. But then again you've never done that. Just had a go at a softer target. Afraid the builder will hunt you down and kill you? By the way everyone. It was Julie who pulled out of the agreement she had with the builder when she couldn't raise the funds. He was generous enough to give her most of her money back, less certain costs that had been incurred. Under the actual agreement she shouldn't have got a penny for it was in black and white, that she signed, stating that if she pulls out she gets nothing back.

Julie, take no notice. The Unwin's certainly had their heyday in the Aga days, the commission they earned was not insubstantial. If my understanding is correct the nature of the Estate Agents Law being retrospective ( we all were allowed to register our Contracts regardless of the fact that the date on the Conract pre dated the date the Law came into force) then the provision that anyone who cannot get their Kocan qualifies for the return of the commission paid to the sellling Agent, means everyone who ever bought through Unwins, or indeed any other Estate Agent and cannot get thier Kocan, should be applying for their commission back (it was after all their money). Why should an Agent keep money if the buyer never got their villa? This was pointed out to me by the Head of the Estate Agents Association. Seems like another Law is about to be made retrospective if the new law limiting the interest Banks can charge makes it onto the Statute Books.

Jwheeler comes on here from time to time and make the same blanket accusations. This site is not meant for such accusations. If you have a case you go to court and prove it but this is a clear misuse of your posting rights. I did suspend your posting rights before and I am afraid I will have to do it once again. ismet

Thinks................Estate Agents in UK get their commission sent to them by the solicitor on completion i.e. when you the purchaser gets the keys to a completed property. Oh sorry, I was thinking of a properly policed system. Timothy Cadman, do you have a relationship with the Estate Agent, you seem to know a lot about the situation? If so, is your comment totally unbiased?

Tim That is about it in a nutshell every now and then when she has had one over the two or she stops taking the meds she pops up with the same old drivel and then the professional victims jump on and get their two penneth in against an agent they never even used. Unwin's sold us our property in Dec 2009, they were very professional and we have had no problems at all.
