The Grass is not always greener on the other side, Just sold my apartment in the TRNC, Developer charged an enourmous amount to sign contract over to new buyer, blackmail really as promised deeds years ago but no sign 5 years on, he even picked our buyer for us, most considerate of him don't you think,we lost 2 sales costing us hundreds. Goodbye FCC the most corrupt people i have ever dealt with, family company my ass, rip off company YES. I'm so happy to live in England with decent, honest, likeable British friends and family ., I can walk my dogs without fear, The old saying goes you live and learn, Sea Vistas in Catalkoy looks like heaven, but hell is going on underneath the disguise believe me, and it will all end in tears for all the other owners up there, believe me. I'm so happy to be rid of this place, the committee are like rats following the pied piper, FCC hand picked this committee i heard them say once this next committee will do as we say, and YES THEY DO. bye bye

Phil anyone now buying in the TRNC must know the state the construction industry is in and that there are no laws to safeguard purchase. Very few appear to be buying and those that are, do so, knowing the risks and are prepared to gamble with their money.



Lets face it only a fool would buy on a site that for 5 years have never been given their deeds.

I love cyprus in fact i've just brought a lovely villa, with deeds, no maintenance company and pathetic committee, and my main friends are all turkish or turkish cypriot people. Cant't wait to return in March, freedom x

Thankyou Walker Scott, exactly what we have experienced, but thank God we have escaped and sold our property at Sea Vistas. the one thing i find strange, by telling the truth to other Sea Vista Owners you get labelled as viscious, troublemakers liars etc etc, can't wait for them to see the truth which they probably already know but wish to bury their heads in the sand. Just take a look at Nature Bays site at Alagadi to see how Sea Vistas will end up. Also i have heard Weston properties might sell the site on next year to another developer, then God help them.

This kind of stuff can happen anywhere, i lost over 100.000 in the uk because the government have not got the right laws in place, i was screwed up for ages, but never once did i drag others down with my sob story or rant on about it. Even my good local TC family friends, whose family have been here for generations, going right back to the Ottomann Empire, have been ripped off by builders. It just doesn't only happen to foreigners!

Think quite honestly there are enough negative posts about the bad experiences on here with out having to write about it over xmas!... but then again we haven't any real moans about NC!



Even in GB you can get ripped off, builders, banks, people...



Its as Walkerscott says really, life's up and downs and ripoffs are every where....



Its how you personally handle them, ....... you can make others aware of pit falls without depressingly putting up threads against NC ...

We had a lovely time too rowlo... feasting at one of the sons/daughter in laws with grand kids, open log fires loads of good scrummy home cooking and able to sit afterwards in a comfy abundance of cushions, to fall asleep, dribble, burp, slurp and do all those things that one does in ones own homes!! ...

I don't live in North Cyprus all the time but I do have a penthouse apartment on Kavanlar Site 1 and strangely enough I have my Kocan.



And I had an amazing Christmas!
