Hello All, got back from TRNC 10 days ago. A number of small works done on site but the main bugbear seems to be Transformer which Can is negotiating on, unfortunately what costs less then £20k in Turkey is over £40k in Cyprus? Can maintains r site will be ready early 2009. He had workers at Esentepe site + this site has now been completed which has to be good news for us? We've had curtains/furniture on order since last Nov + decided to do our own builders clean to take furniture delivery as suppliers have been very patient. Had all 3 bedrooms fitted out with beds, ortho mattresses, side tables, vanity table etc ,plus dining table + 6 chairs for less than 2k. Quality curtains, voiles etc fitted thru out for less than £1k . Finally we had hand made leather suite ordered via Turkey with coffee table +nestle to match. Can recommend all three suppliers who have been patient and polite. Anyone wanting there address/advice etc just say, can't praise them enough. Joseph

| Re small works done? Can/John had his window supplier at the site fixing any problems with french/regular windows making sure all windows supplied were in good working order, so any snags have now been put right. I noticed all the pump housing for pools have been cleared of all rubbish and debris and cleaned out ready for electrics and pump installation etc While out there I met my new future next door neighbours Rob and Carol, who have just bought number 15 ... so of the bungalows this just leaves 13 to be sold and I think no 7 of the villas. So out of 16 plots only two are unsold, one villa and one bungalow? Again hopefully good news as this should help the builders cash flow. Also met neighbours from villa no 4, Chris and Sandra. Last thought, last year we visited in Nov + little had been done but by following April the difference was huge, so I think Nov onwards is a prime time for the builder to forge on with work as temps r far more conducive... ? | Hi Joseph, Were no. 7. Do you mean no. 9? Thanks for taking the time to post the info. I did try to list the houses sold, maybe you could fill in any gaps or blobs I've left on previous message. Thanks for staying positive. Take care jj |

Sorry, yes I think it villa number 9 which is unsold, main point being there are two plots only available, ie unsold ... one bungalow and one villa. Should also add some tiling work was also being done while we were there as they did our kitchen after its installation. Across from our site off the main road on the coast side there is a new restaurant opened called "Poppin" It looka at first sight to be the corner house of about 12 plots built there... we called in between cleaning jobs a few times for beer/coffee and got chatting with a few residents from that site and Medview which is adjacent to ours. Owners name is Zeti and seems to be a good place for picking up advice from people already moved in locally, re such things as tv satellites etc. Joseph

Hi Joseph Not sure if i understood correctly. Are u saying that you have already had furniture delivered to your property. If so how secure is it and what are the legal oblications. We have also had furniture on order and part paid for for over a year now. What do you think is the realistic time period, as when ever we are out we are being told that the electricity is immanent. Good news to here that the site is at last coming along. What is the situation with driveways and the road around the site, has this also moved on!!!! Hope you had a good time out in Cyprus, we decided in the end to leave our next visit until the new year.... Charlie

Hi Charlie, to be honest we felt a bit sheepish asking the retailers to yet again hold on to our furniture (since Nov 07) so made the decision to pay in full and take it after doing our own builders clean. We spent about 3 days cleaning but remember we had limited daylight in November. Most of the villas are secure now that all sliding/regular windows have been snagged and front doors in. Can/John is happy to hand over one of the keys and Ali and his alsatian are permanently on site looking after security. Roy, no 12 has also part furnished. Driveways and road still the same until electric cables are laid etc tho all the trenching is dug and waiting. Legal obligations ... not to sure what u mean? Noticed you posted this morning so send email to: martin.banasko@btinternet.com and we can exch phone numbers and have a chat in more detail. Regards Joseph
