Digiturk - BBC Prime not watchable?

Hi our BBC Prime has not worked for a couple of days, there is too much interference on the channel and it is unwatchable. All the other channels are fine, have done a re-installation but made no difference.

Anyone else having this problem?

We are in Ozankoy and ours is fine, maybe you need to report it as a fault. We were having lots of problems a few months back, not getting BBC and loads of other channels, it took 4 different tecnicians to sort it out. They eventually sent for a main man from Lefkosia who sorted it in the end, simply by changing the direction of our dish. It is possible that the bad weather and winds may have moved your dish slightly. Have to hand it to digiturk though, they gave us a free month as compensation.

This is very encouraging, we are thinking of using digiturk. Can anyone enlighten me of the

cost involved please?

We have a dish and have been watching free tv, but can only get one channel now.

Hi just to report went into Digiturk office as they did not answer the phone.

When I said I have a problem with BBC News & Prime & CNN he asked me if I live in Ozankoy as they have problems in that area with something (not sure what). He then said that I needed a service which would cost at least 50tl as they have to come from Lefkosa. When I said that if they had a problem then surely they should pay for it to be fixed his reply was 'I have sent lots of service calls to Ozankoy area and they have all paid'.

This is Cyprus as they say the customer is always wrong!

Flowerfairy there are several different packages for Digiturk we pay approx 40 tl a month and when it is working properly get BBC Prime, around 6 news channels in English, some movies and American series, National Geo, History etc.

i just have the basic package at 25.99tl a month it gives BBC Entertainment, CNBCE, E2, and the Nat Geo, History, Home, Bio, MGM etc plus turkish channels. the next package up at just over 40tl gives all the other series channels and the movie channels.

BBC Entertainment on 115. It's fine here in Esentepe but why wouldn't it be? It's hardly regional as we all look at the same satellite surely..... So I wonder why they are saying they have problems in Ozanköy?

No probs over here in the WildWest, and we are halfway up amountain. As to Digiturk, we have it and pay annually, something like 300tl for the year or thereabouts. Lots of cannels to watch,lots of mov ies, soaps, docyumentaries National Geographic, History, plus French, Italian, Russian etc programmes. So you can be entertained in English and learnnanother language if so inclined Great value for money. Been using it for years.

Can't remember (Metin) cos we had it for so long, but don't think it is much, if anything. You will need the dish installed, but the only way to find out is to pop in to the Digiturk Shop and ask. You can also find lots of deals and you can choose the best one for you.

We stupidly bought some other boxes a few yearsback thinking it would replace Digiturk, but it was a complete waste of money as everything kept getting scrambled!

As I say, go and talk to them and find out what is best for YOU.

We are not having any problems in Ozankoy at the moment, maybe you should tell them at the office that your neighbours have got good reception. They told us that we would have to pay the maintainance fee but in the end they did not charge because the problem went on for so long. Be persistant and threaten to find another supplier if they don't sort it for you.

Again I say - why would where you are in Cyprus affect reception when your dish is looking at a geo-stationary satellite? Their statement that they are having problems in Ozanköy sounds bogus to me.
