10pm at nite driving out of Lefkosa, we ran out of diesel (I know !!!! the fuel gauge is faulty, but I didnt know) managed to get the van on the kerb, just, a car with a yellow flashing light on top came along and it was a Lefkosa Belidiyesi nite patrol, they got us to a safer place and called in 2 other patrol cars to direct traffic flow and called a friend who got us started and back on the road to Girne. no charge.



Jamie and I would like to thank all 6 of them, they were courteous, professional and incredibly safety conscious. you guys are a credit to your city and did a great job.

Inform the Mayor. Cemal (aka MD of Sercem) will need all the positive feedback he can muster, as his reputation in the building development arena is rock bottom with all manner of rumour. However, well done to his staff on a top rate display of initiative and helpfullness.
