Which car hire company ?

Hi all,

I've had a few quotes re car hire but not sure which one to go with. We have used Bellapais a couple of times and they were great, but their transfers from Larnaca has gone up to £50.

Baspinar was very reasonable so is looking good. Pacifica was the most expensive. Has anyone used Interrental who operate from the Alkintaya hotel I believe? They were the cheapest, but that doesn't always make it the wisest choice.

I emailed Bird for a quote but they haven't got back to me yet. I need an automatic so I have to book it soon.

My personal recommend is Pacific - good prices / good cars / good service and transfers are less than most (but have recently jumped to £45 each way).



In the end "..you gets what you pays for" so just be wary of really cheap deals but it's your choice my friend.

Can't go wrong with Baspinar, they are doing a special offer until 31st March £10 a day including insurance for a Fiesta, Focus or Matrix, also very competitive for transfers.

A1 every time ask for Ismail if you hire a car from them, transfer LCA £25 each way, also a good standard of car given

Esentepe Brisk have 2010 model cars for £15 per day. We will give a discount if you want the car for a long period. All of our cars come with full insurance with no hidden extras.



Our Larnaca transfers are £45 each way or £50 each way for a larger taxı.



If you hire a car for 7days or more, we do free Ercan transfers.

Hi twoexpats, Most hire company's in the North will let you take a car across to the South however, you must get permission in writing from the hire company which you produce at the border.

Esentepe Brisk. No problem going to the south with there hire cars we went to paphos after dropping friends off at larnaca airport. 25 euros insurance at border.

Johnspud I know exactly what you mean! I've had a few jeep deathtraps myself. Always get a vitara in the summer now from Pacific, well maintained, safe, clean & reliable. Might be 2 quid a day more than a death trap but hey ho! You only live. Once...

We have always used Aone, cant fault them, but this time I went for other quotes and Baspinar came in at 50 GBP cheaper than aone, that saving is including the pick up and return to LCA. This is for a months hire mid May to mid June, new car.
