Hi guys,



Visiting at Christmas and booked to have xmas lunch at the Lacen in Alsancak..



Need feed back on food and atmosphere .....

Most get feedback BEFORE booking. Hope its nice though.

Have to say it looks nice from the outside, although never eaten in there.

Please explain to me why anyone would book a restaurant and then set out to find out what ir is like?

Norma, I personly like Ambience, had some nice meals their, it's just off the Main Lapta to Girne road, behind a supermarket (can't think of the name) but well signposted.

I don't know why anyone would book a restaurant, and then set out find out what it is like - but if this person has, then telling them they should have done isn't really very helpful.



As for attempting to get the name of a restaurant on the board, maybe so - that is not against the rules.



I think we've all become very suspicious of any new posters.

I went to Lacem when it first opened and have to say not terribly impressed. Food mediocre waiters too much in your face. Have not ben again but not to say we wont give it another try. But for christmas??

We had Xmas lunch at the Ambiance last year and it was fantastic. Only been to Lacem once at it was so so. Ambiance would be my choice!

Just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons I thought the food at Ambiance was mediocre and they serve frozen vegetables. Yuk.

their was a large write up in the paper earlier this year that the staff had their tips taken buy the mangement i dont know not been there but if i did make sure the staff recieve it
