Firstly - I have absolutely no connections with any estate agents or developers (at least not since my purchase nearly a decade ago).

I cannot condone a site that will present unsolicited tales or comments on businesses or individuals. What is stopping unscrupulous people or opposition merely 'bad mouthing' or destroying competitors businesses or reputations. It will serve no other function. I hope nobody supports this.....

Will you be checking the accuracy of peoples stories of woe ?

I do not know where you would host such a forum from but you should be aware that under test cases in the UK that if defamatory articles are posted and the defamed inform the hosters of where that defamation occurs and they do not remove it, they themselves are liable for prosecution for defamation. Just look up the Laurence Godfrey vs Demon internet case on google.

What this means is that many hosters / providers of facilites where forums can be run will not take chances if someone claims their is defamation on a server they host, they will just remove it or stop the service entirely to be safe. Although it has not been so directly tested in UK law, it is also highly probably that you too as the forum owner would be liable for any defamation posted on the forum, if you are informed of it but fail to remove it.

Yes - give it a go, Stevo.

I'm sure there are a few of us who'd be interested to know what you make of it.

stevo-london, please read msg 5, by erolz. He is 100% correct in what he says. It's good and sound advice which I'd strongly recommend you take (I have no axe to grind, never having bought property in the TRNC).

Blade message 2

''Can i ask, your location is london, so whats your interest with people in the TRNC? ''

People in glasshouses----

Considering the slagging that the UK and its people(aka, single mothers ,students, trade unionists ,unemployed, disabled, teachers) and institutions like NHS, Europe and its Johny foreigner types in the EU ,get from people on here---------

--- Can I ask( all the slaggers and Colonel Blimps), your location is TRNC, so whats your interest with people in the UK or EU.

Girne,

I still have property and a business in the UK. As for the EU last time i looked the UK was still in the EU.? So i think i have the right to still be interested? As the holder of an EU passport.

My question was why the poster was located in London and had an interest in the TRNC. ?Simple question which he explained.

When I named and shamed my advocate on C44 he got the posting removed.

When I named the Landowner on C44 - he too got the posting removed.
