Any reliable institution should check the ability to pay back the loan rather than simply rely on the security offered. So is it a question of an electronic disdtributor turning a banker?

I agree with Ismet, anyone who does not check your ability to repay beware...your security is at risk if you do not make the payments and the compounding effect even at 6.5% per annum is frightening. It is per annum I take it? You dont actually say.

Yes it is per annum ..... 6.5% which is way lower than any available financing currently in trnc

The reason we dont need to check the ability of the borrower to repay , is because its a securities based loan .

If the borrower defaults , we keep the securities .

More details can be emailed to anyone whom is interested.

This is an instrument not normally available to the public and certainly not through commercial banking.

Hi Mezzo,

Would it be possible for you loan me £100,000 @ 6.5% p.a.?

If that is a fixed rate for 12 months, I could then place the £100,000 into a 12 month term investment account earning 9% p.a. (8.1% after tax).

This would give me a profit of £1,600 after tax for the year !!
