Had to dash to Pafos (Paphos) yesterday as the Immigration Officers would not allow my Brother-In-Law across as his residency has expired... yes he's applied for renewal but it's not through yet... what with one holiday after another...



When he got there they said he had to go to the police in Girne but the immigration office there was closed so that's no good.. he rang through to us as the wife's Sister-In-Law was arriving at Pafos and would be stranded..



Off we went, the route over Tatlisu to Pyla took us two hours ten minutes.. not bad... nearly totalled the car when a daft Brit suddenly, and for no apparent reason, veered right just as I was about to overtake on good bit of road.



Phew! Anyway picked her up no problem...



So the route is a really good one even though it would appear slightly longer in mileage as the ease of the traffic and lack of delays at the border etc is well worth the detour.



It's worth noting that the Immigration People were not to be persuaded.
