Traditionally, we think about booking our Summer holidays just after Christmas and the prices are usually high because of the surge in demand. This doesn't seem to be true this year. For example, check out the links for deals such as an Egypt all-inclusive for £400pp or Majorca for £139pp

Has anyone else found any holiday bargains?

I was told that you can take a holiday all over the world this year at much lower prices, except the TRNC. While everywhere else is lowering their prices in response to the struggling economic climate, the TRNC are putting their's up!

Apparently you can even go to Miami for a week in a 5* inc. flights for £450!

Now there's good business sense for you. Just doing a search in the summer brochures and set out looking at non-euro countries because there is no doubt they are less expensive. However when you compare cost of holiday, especially if it's all inclusive, most of the bargains are still in the EU and are certainly not in the TRNC WHICH APPEARS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN SOME LONG-HAUL DESTINATIONS.

Not of particular importance to many who want the choice and standard rather than considering costs but if the TRNC truly wants to be competitive it needs to get in touch with what is happening throughout the med.

But I'm sure they will still have record tourists numbers in 2012 because year on year they always do!
