| Was not the chronological order England, Great Britain and now United Kingdom ? Hence the problem with trying to regionalise something. In fact a wedding cake is the same in all of the UK I believe. |

| You, like so many other, fail to recognise the fact that England is only one of four parts of the UK!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_United_Kingdom Chronological order was England, Scotland & Wales making up GB in 1707 and then Northern Ireland uniting in 1801 created The United Kingdom of GB & Ireland.
