Can anybody tell me the price of a refill for the large bottle of gas(green aprox.1.5mt tall).

and where to exchange.

Rowlo,

itsadogslife's canister is over 3 times bigger than the supermarket one. The one they are looking for are 47kg bottles, not the 13kg bottles.

Sorry rowlo as i said in my post i have the large bottle not sure of the capacity but it is about 1.5 mt tall.

Available close to Kate O'Reilies Bar in Alsancak. Don't know the price but need one myself so will know the price tomorrow.

The prices have recently gone up, they used to be around 135tl but they are now in the region of 150tl.

Birdman and Geronimo



The filling station you require depends on the colour of the gas bottle.



There are 3 gas filling stations in Lefkosa.



Jet Gas Dark green bottles

Situated on the old Farmagusta Rd, on the left heading towards Kucuk Kimamli and central Nicosia but before the roundabout with the wedding dress shop called Yarim.



Intergas light blue bottles



Situated on the industrial estate in Nicosia. Coming from Kyrenia to the Gonyeli roundabout, turn left towards Farmagusta. At the first traffic lights turn left into the industrial estate. Follow the round past the Ataturk sports stadium continue on, the round bends right almost 90 degrees. Once round the sharp bend turn right then immediately sharp left. Continue on this road for about 750 - 1000 metres, Intergas is on the left on a slight hill.



Koop gas light green bottles.



Situated in Gonyeli opposite Benli suppermarket, on the road connecting the main road to the Gonyeli road.

The filling station required depends on the colour of the gas bottle, filling stations have an agreement with each other, that they dont fill other companies bottles.



One other think to remember. Be very careful as the 45 kilo bottles weigh in at about 100 kolos when full and it is easy to injure yourself, whilst moving them.



Tilt the bottle to one side carefully whilst holdong the brass nozzle with one hand and spinning the bottle with the other hand, tghe bottle will roll easily without much effort but remember they are very heavy. Dont attempt this if you are not fit enough to do the job. Good luck.

At the gas bottle shop near Starling/Kate O'Reilies in Alsancak they are charging 168TL and 12 TL for delivery for the large size. (That's WITH a returned bottle!)
