| Does any one know where I might get a copy (if one actually exists) of the electrical wiring regulations for the TRNC? |

| hi irishvixen its the same as the uk all your electric fittings are all ok dont think you will get a copy of regulations on my apartment electrics very good |

spuds right all electrical wiring is exactly the same as the u.k
you prob wont be able to get a copy of the regulations (if there is any) l.o.l
you could prob get a copy of the wiring to your place thru your builder who prob sub contracted the work out to a electrical firm so ask them maybe

| Thanks for that. I am a NICEIC electrician in Northern Ireland and I specialise in inspection and testing to our U.K. standard (BS7671). On my recent visit to my apartment I carried out a visual inspection and found a number of class 1 defects which would be considered a fire risk e.g. incorrect overload protection, where the circuit breaker was rated at 32amp and the cable was only rated at 10 amp. I have passed these issues back to the builder, but I am sure that they will say that the wiring complies with their regulations. It would be nice to know if they actually have any regulations and if they do where would I get a copy. |

If that's what the builder does say, then get him or the electrician who did the installation to given you a copy, in English of course.
