| I have just been informed that it was announced today by the authorities that extended power cuts are expected in Girne area.
I do not have first hand information regarding how long these power cuts will last but just wanted to give a fore warning.
All our basestations are equipped with approx 4 hours of backup power or more, while some major locations include additional backup time as well as backup generators.
Just in case our precautions will not be enough tomorrow and there will be downtime in some of our basestations due to extended power cuts, I would like to apologize up front for the inconvenience.

| It went off about 8.40 in Girne and my colleague says it will be off all day. Off in Zeytinlik too :( |

| As of 11:00am all our basestations are still operational. However, there are many 'ghost basestations' as almost nobody is connected to them

| Here is the end result of today's power cuts:
Out of 26 basestations in Kyrenia Area, 24 of them was not affected.
2 Basestations suffered approx 4 hours of downtime each.
All customers in these affected basestations will be compensated with 4 days of free service according to our day-for-hour compensation scheme.

| The good work is so good, when I went to the electric office this morning it was shut as they are on strike today. So two wasted journeys !!!!!! |
