I would like some advise on providing an internet service for our rental villa. Has anybody who rents there villa for hoiday let's included internet access in there package?. If so how much did it cost for it to be connected etc and do you charge the guests to use it?. We are in Alsancak if that makes any difference to the speed etc. All advise would be helpful.

We can provide you with a 2MBits package for 720TL/year. You get extra 3 months by paying a year upfront so the price is actually for 15 months. You can also freeze this package for up to 6 months in a year when it is vacant as well, so this package might last you for almost 2 years. This is a cost effective and convenient way for you to offer your customers with an internet connection and hassle free after it is setup. K.

2Mbits refer to the speed of the connection, the usage is unlimited otherwise so there is no need to control usage between tenants. I will email you privately later today. Kemal

Might just add, we`ve rented for 9 years and we`ve always had to provide our own internet access.

I think Jonkay has the right idea. More and more people expect it these days. I travel extensively and one of the the things I look for when I'm booking villas, apartments or hotels is free Internet access. You have to go and buy a dongle, assuming you know where to buy one and from which provider, not always easy depending on where you are. For most people, the ability to simply power up your laptop and be connected is much better. I'm at the stage now where on sites like Holiday Lettings I filter out properties without Internet access without looking at them.
