| The council of Ministers has postponed the Kib-tek strike for 60 days. The union announced that they will abide by the decision otherwise it would be a criminal offence not to lift the strike. However, they announced that the workers are using "their right not to work". Kib-tek management warned that they will take disciplinary action against those refusing to work. The private compant Aksa at Kalecik is in full production and yesterday a team from Aksa went to Teknecik Power station and they put into service the diesel generators which are similar to those at Kalecik. They are not toucing the 2*60 MVA Turbine generators which are more critical to operate and great damage can be done if something wrong is done. So the power capacity of Teknecik (diesel only) and Kaalecik is sufficient touch and go. On the legal side, my view is that since the official strike is lifted, the workers can withold their labour and to me this means that they have resigned without notice. ctd. |

| So I expect the workers to return to work in the next couple of days or face expulsion. I am sure they will go back to work. The strike of telecom continues but I am sure they are next on the list of the government. They knocked out most of ADSL connections before going on strike. I am without internet at home and only limited access in the office where I am now. ismet |
