Late yesterday however TELSEN, the union representing telecommunication workers, said its members would be returning to work after the authorities declared their strike illegal. They however pledged to continue their struggle in other ways.

A similar declaration by the authorities over a strike at the ‘state’-owed KIBTEK electricity provider appeared to have fallen on deaf ears as workers continued their indefinite strike.
