| If you have a car advertized on Cyprus 44 and you get a reponse from someone who says that he is in another country but interested in your car---beware. They will ask for pics of the car and say that it is just what they want. They will say that they will pay the asking price but will ask you to pay the export charges up front to them before they will pay you for the car It's obviously a scam. It happened to friend of ours this week but fortunately they were not that gullable. |

| And here's another. Got e-mail today confirming flight to Portland, Oregon, on Sunday (who in their right mind would go to Oregon in Jan) Told to click on attachment to print tickets, 177.11 USD. Phoned UK bank fraud dept. and was asked to forward e-mail to e-mailscams@......... then delete e-mail without opening attachment. Seems it's a recognised fraud doing the rounds. T ps Now, if it had said California............. |
