No, we have been enquiring regularly on this but no airline is flying there from Ercan. Ankara Travel seem to have best info. I spoke with them last week and they are negative. We are still flying into Antalya and Dolmus the rest of route.

Thanks delikomsu Is there a dolmus from Antalya airport or do you get a bus/taxi to the bus garage? I think we may have too much luggage for a dolmus so I guess we would use one of the larger coach services. Is the journey around 3 hrs? A real pain in the bum since CTA collapsed that no airline covers this route direct.

Pogle the journey from Antalya to Dalaman area is a bit of a nightmare. I did it 2 years ago and it took over 4 hours. Taxi from airport to bus station is quite expensive (45TL) and the buses only run every 2 hours (probably because of the taxi unions). On the plus side, the buses to Dalaman are cheap (18TL). When we checked in at Ercan for our Antalya flight we noticed an Onur Air flight to Birmingham via Dalaman. I would assume this is a charter flight so may be worth contacting Cyprus Paradise or one of the other Tour Operators doing packages to see if you can get flight only.

Thanks Jo I have checked and it seems that Onur Air use Dalaman/Bodrum for their stopovers en-route to Ercan in summer. I emailed them direct for info as only the winter schedules available at present, I will also try Cyprus Paradise as you suggest. Mel

Hi Mel I would be interested in whatever you find out re booking with Onur Air as we normally meet friends every year in Fethiye. Last year we flew via Istanbul which was also very long-winded.

A to B taxi's just google it. The bus station in Antalya is on the other side of the city from the airport. Have a look for the Hava buses they go into the city but not sure of the bus station. A to B are by far the best you can book on line.

I tried to book with Onar Air in December but was told they do not do flight only you can only book a package.Apparently the government pay them a subsidy for each person arriving at Ercan on a package.

Sounds about right Woodspeckie but maybe if a tour operator has seats to fill they may be willing to sell flight only. Might only do it last minute though.

I did this trip in 2010 after CTA went bust. Any airline to Antalya, then the Havas bus to the sehir merkezi otogar, then you buy a ticket to Dalaman (I went as far as Gocek to stay with friends). The coach goes on via Dalaman to Bodrum. Lovely journey, probably faster now as there is a motorway avoiding the mountains above Antalya. The company I used was called Pamukalle (?),they have a website so you can see the timings...
