Hi all!

I am in need of a lot of advice here, so sorry in advance for the extra long message.

I would like to get married at kybele and hold the reception there too but am stumped as to what needs to be asked. I am doing all the planning myself to save the much needed money and do not have any help or experience with this.

1. How much does it cost to book kybele? As the sections you reserve private and exclusive? I really don't want to be looked over but can't afford to book the entire venue

2. How much is food per head?

3. What sort of decorations and linens etc do they have? What do they charge to decorate, if any?

4. Does anyone know of any places where you can hire linens and decor?

5. Does anyone know of someone who could bake a British style cake as I really dislike the Cypriot ones?

6. Where do I find a bi lingual officiator/registrar?

7. most of my family live in n.cyprus but my fiancee's family are English and can't speak a word of Turkish, can anyone recommend a

It is not difficult to arrange when you have family here in the TRNC.

Get a member of your family to go to the Government building beside the hospital in Girne where they will advise them on whats required.

Our son is gettin married here and it was all aranged by themselves and is a lot cheaper.

The general ( state ) hospital. To the right there are two Government buildings. The vehicle tax office is the one at the rear .The front one is where they register births, deasths and marriage.

In the front door,up the stairs on the right and they will help. The also arrange for the civil registeration of your wedding.

I will ask my son to contact you and they may be able to help

The government building is a huge white building just before the hospital if travelling from the Bellapais side. To get to it you have to turn right after Mollys cafe, or left at Teachers hotel if coming from the Girne side, drive past Sammys hotel and bear left. You can't miss it, there is a big car park. Good luck!!

Wedding cakes can be transported from the UK.

If you want a pillared cake (more than one layer) this is simply done at the venue or a stacked cake (without pillars)

My daughter has sent cakes to France, Spain and Romania by carrier. Properly packed and protected with airbags it will get to you in good condition.

A further little tip - don't let the worry of the planning spoil your wedding

There are several ladies here who would make you a beautiful, traditional wedding cake, I personally know of two. If you want their details you can email me on pamschofield47@yahoo.co.uk
