An english girl from Karsiyaka was in a traffic accident on Friday night ( 2nd nov) boken arm broken legs ( compound ) broken nose and facial injuries .



No family out here at all !



Brs could not help as she is not a member !



One cannot state enough how much support she has recieved from the ex-pat and local communities, espically St Andrews Church.



Teresa from villa owners is organising a dog walking rota if any one has spare time perhaps you could help assist with respite care etc

Samantha Arlington 38 (passenger)and Mustafa Ileli 25 (driver) involved in RTA early hours Saturday morning in Karsykia. Both in Lefkosa hospital.

Mustafa sustained a broken leg and Samantha sustained a broken leg (which is in traction)broken arm, coller bone and nose and has injuries and stiches to her other arm. Both are needing operations.



Samantha is needing 24 hour care and will need assistance for quite some time. Sadly Samantha has no family so is very much on her own.

Samantha has lived in the TRNC for 4 years and is well known locally. She is very bright and bubbly and will help anyone who needs her.

She recently bought a 'cow shed' in Karsykia and had it renovated. Samantha lives there with her 2 dogs poppy and teddy.



Samanthas neighbours Kate and Pat are looking after her dogs and Kate has helped with contacting various people asking for help with Samanthas situation.

Saint Andrews Church sent in 2 as Samantha stated ' lovely people' (volunters) who visited her and assisted her with personal care and feeding, they will be visiting on a daily basis.



Sam is also visited on a daily basis from loving close friends.



Locals from Sam's Place Bar in Alsancak are helping with the fees for a carer for Samantha.



Samantha informed me yesterday that she needed blood doners for her so texts were sent to all the people on her mobile and the reponse was amazing even if someone didn't have the correct blood group they asked friends and family and we know have about 6 people donating for Samanthas operation which is due on Friday.



Staff at the hospital have been so helpful and kind also the police who have assisted .



Because of Samanthas situation a fundraiser has been organised at Sam's Place Bar in Alsancak on monday 12th nov at 8:30, entertainment will consist of Danny Fisher as Elvis, Jeanie from the local band Jeanie'us and karaoke with Ozzee B. Enterance will be 10YTL.



All money raised will go towards Samanthas and Mustafas hospital/medical fees.

We're not there yet, but what about a bit of feed back. How did the night go, was the whistling thong not up on stage.
