Hello Gwyn What about existing customers? Have been with them for almost 5 years now and we have had our problems with them as you know. There are good alternatives out there now to Extend.

Hi Gwynn, We paid in November and got the 3 months extra added to our year's subscription. I would be interested in increasing our bandwidth, is it done automatically for those who have renewed previously or is there and extra charge? regards Alastair Young

Hi Alastair, unfortunately this is a new offer. If you wanted to benefit from it you would have to pay 1 month, 3 months etc before the 10th March to double your speed for those months. By the way, on 21st January eXtend gave all their customers 7 days on to everyone's accounts to cover the downtime due to the strikes by Kibtek and Telecom.

Hi Alastair, I have just checked your account on the eXtend database. Your account expires on the 10th May 2013. To upgrade to 1 meg (1024) would be 254 tl to your expiry date. Gwyn 0533 869 4371

reyntj - all of the customers who deal with me are usually happy with the service. They can phone me 7 days a week and I can usually diagnose what the problem is and if they need a service call, I arrange it for the next day normally and let eXtend know. I have been an agent now for 4 years. It's all about good line of sight to base stations. Gwyn - 0533 869 4371

G, bearing in mind that I only pay 3 months in advance and don't down load music, videos etc, would it really benefit me in increasing the bandwidth. We do have VPN downloaded and watch that on occasions but not often. Tango1

Thankyou Art, it is much appreciated. We do work hard to keep our customers happy and make sure that their internet is on as much as possible. Sometimes it is out of our control. Using us as an agent makes it quicker to get things sorted as we deal with the main man at eXtend. If you need a service call, I book it in for you and you are speaking to a brit that speaks your language. Gwyn 0533 869 4371

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would take the chance of using Extend......Do you not remember how badly they treated their customers when they were closed down for illegal operations on the mountains? There are plenty of proven providers (Multimax and Nethouse) why risk it?

Giles, what has 'washerman' got to do with this thread? I am the agent for eXtend. My husband (washerman) and I have a legit business here and we offer customer support second to none whether it be with the internet or satellite tv. I look after the internet customers who are very happy with my service. Please don't ruin this thread. Gwyn

ceg123, re message 25 - yes that is correct. Extend is now owned by a different Company to the one that had the base station on the mountain. But also at the time the base station was there it wasn't illegal and all the other ISP's used it.

You're obviously very upset by the way you were treated Giles but you're arguing against people here who seem to have had a reasonable/decent service. It's unfortunate you had a bad experience. I'm afraid I cannot complain either. I left Extend after my first year but then around 6mths later came back to them. I don't know whether I'm taking a risk but for me my prime concern is always price. They were the best at the time. Thankfully I haven't needed to call for any support so next year my decision whether to stay with them will again be solely dependent upon their prices.

Well said Art. If Giles had have used me as his agent I have no doubt that he would have been recompensed at the time. The reason eXtend seemed to come off worse was they had far more customers than the other ISP's ie Nethouse etc so it was more public.

I have been with Extend for nearly 3 years and on the whole the service has been good. However, over the past 3-4 months the service has been very hit and miss. Slow speeds and lots of outages - nothing to do with the weather before anyone asks. Multimax appear to be the way to go with faster speeds, lower prices and excellent customer service. Extend need to match or better this if they want to keep their customer base.

Hi there, Extend is a trademark. It's under a new ownership now - Aydogan Group. What I suggest you do is to find out who owned the company during times of poor service Aydogan Group owns many quality names such as - Fog TV, Hititbet, King's bowling,Kıbrıs İnsaat and many other international companies. We currently serve the most prestigious companies in Cyprus. The owner during the times of poor service was no other than Multimax owner I though I should take time and respond. If you would like to try us for free till you are satisfied- Please do contact us. Thank you

Cem, Are you the Cem that set up the internet business that used to be opposite Burger City? I believe it was Bormat? Reason I ask is that when you were there (maybe still are) I came to see you to get connected, but our house was too close to your base station on the Lapta TV mast, so I had to use funily enough Extend. You were highly reccomended when I saw you, and if you are now associated with Extend, I may have to speak to Gwyn about upgrading, and certainly continuing with Extend. Yes, we have had the odd time of dissconection, everyone has, and there was the 5 days when there was allegedly a virus on the system, but overall we have had a good connection. Only complaint, and you will hear this from many is, as with virtually all business' in NC........... "Customer service" - reply to emails please, and inform people (you have all our email address' I home) when service may be interupted etc, and inform people earlier of re-new of subscription. Thanks

I remember the bad old days, phone up extend, wait 30mins, get to speak to someone, explain the problem and get transferred to a voice-mail which was full. Now they are pro-active and customer oriented, why, because they are losing people in their droves to Multimax, speaks volumes.

islandgirl, sorry but you are wrong there. eXtend's customer support started when I became and agent for them back in 2008. It was our suggestion to Kemal at the time that they need to look after their british customers. If customers didn't choose to use me as their agent it was their choice but the offer was there and it doesn't cost them anymore. Gwyn 0533 869 4371

Hi cypbb, first of all I do apologize for any inconveniece we may have caused you. I am sure you know how difficult it is to get things done properly in T.R.N.C. - well try employing people You will see it's even more difficult to manage people as the company grows. That's why we have implemented a CRM system that tracks issues closely with our customers and if the customer is not happy with our service and/or troubleshooting, it alerts us - the management. As of today I don't see any notification regarding an unhappy customer. I know it's a pain but please can you visit our office one more time and ask to speak with me please. I would like to personally attend to your issue. We are here today because of you. Thank you for your support. Kind Regards

Hi Sally Anne, First of all, thank you for your thoughts. But I would like to correct or add some insight to your thoughts. We are customer oriented and pro-active, because me personally have worked as a IT consultant(Computer Engineer) in US for amost 15 years or so.I worked at companies like Motorola, Boeing, Lucent Technologies, Federal Investors and many more prestigious companies. And this is how we operated.Customer retention is a very high priority for us. It took us amost a year to implement these systems as we took over legacy systems and poor management from past owners And please do google and find out who the owner was. You have insight to only a small portion of our business - a few friend of yours might have switched to the other company.Yet you claim volumes I see my numbers evermorning and they are at an all time high If you doubt my honesty, please do stop by for cofee and I will share my reports with you. History repeats itself.

hi Terry, yes it's me How are you ? So nice to hear from you. Yes you are so right about Customer Service.Believe me I have put many resources into Customer Service. Over the past 7 months or so, we have built a very strong Customer Care unit, upgraded the phone system, reengineered our software and hired 6 or 7 more employees just for Call Center. We have some great projects on the way - all to make service better for our customers. I am totally for competition. If the government would let us, belive me, service would be no less than in UK.We are trying our best with authorities that don't understand and appreciate technology. When you contact Gwyn, please do let me know as well. I would like to personally make sure all goes well and you are very happy with the service. It's makes me so very happy when I hear from people like yourself Kind Regards, Cem

cypbb, after hearing your wife is Reni I think I know who you are. I believe that eXtend have phoned you today but just as an interim measure, try going direct in to your laptop and not through the router. Once in direct you will need to reboot the POE (little black box). You may find that the router could be the problem but not necessarily. Gwyn

Regarding service calls that eXtend do. When the engineers arrive at a house they don't actually know how long they will be at that house. They will however, stay there until the job is finished and the customer has their internet back. Therefore, times are very hard to give. It is better if they say AM or PM to the customer. I hope you, as the customer understands. Myself and eXtend appreciate your support. Gwyn

Hi Stockiefan, no they don't do more than 4 but you don't need any more than 4 meg to watch live and catchup tv. There must be another issue as ours if fine here. Once you have sorted out your wiring etc please let me know. Gwyn
