The pop queen and the film director were granted a divorce last month, and some reports at the time claimed that Ritchie was walking away without a penny of Madonna's fortune, estimated at £300 million.

However, a spokesperson said Ritchie would receive between 76 and 92 million dollars (£49 to £60 million) in cash and property which included the couple's country retreat Ashcombe House in Wiltshire.



Is Madonna mad giving Guy Ritchie anything at all given that he said he didn't want anything?

This happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago, although obviously on a much smaller scale. She and her ex-husband had decided that the extra monies out of the sale of their house would be used for their daughter's uni fees. When HER solicitor was told what had been agreed between themselves, he told her that the courts wouldn't hear of it - and the husband was awarded the money! ps. he didn't then give it back either!!

It's strange how all divorce's start off 'nicey, nicey' and then before you know it all hell let's loose. I know a few couple's who have divorced and with the best will in the world they all start off nice and friendly and then before you know it World War three has started. This Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce will no dobt go the same way. She's offered him £49m, presumably as 'hush' money. You wait until 6 months or so then they'll be sla**ing each other off in the media.
