Blind (well 60% blind) George is a gorgeous tabby about 2 years old - he has the most beautiful nature - loving and is very independent - his lack of clear vision doesn't really impede his life (he still manages to catch mice!).

The vet has done eye surgery and the best he can and says there wont be any more hassles with him. He is desexed, vaccinated etc. and apart from his vision is very healthy.

He is a real home boy, loves sitting in front of the fire and snuggling up, yet also loves to wander off and explore on his own. He is great with dogs, he plays and cuddles with our dog, and if it wasn't for us having to leave the island he would be with us for ever!!

He was a street cat for first 6 months of his life, then for last year+ has become a real home boy. We hope finding a home for him wont be impossible as we dont want to have to put him back on the streets.

Please call 0533 882 1024

George says thanks!

Why don't you take him with you? Would you put a child back on the streets!

I sincerely hope you can find a good home for your cat. If you can't, I think it would probably be kinder to have him put to sleep, rather than putting him back on the street. I don't think he'd stand a chance of surviving. Good luck with this.

I wasnt haveıng a go at you.. i was only asking why cant you?? and you still havent given us an answer! you are a very cruel person if you could live with yourself after taking a cat in off the streets then putting him back on the street because you are leaving...!

all you do gooders - if it is any of your business..... which you all know it isnt .....the cat was a stray that was rescued, cared for, given vet treatment and fed, the dog has been with me for 9 years, i dont have the capacity to take the cat with me - now how about you all get off your soap boxes and mind your own business - if you dont have something decent to say - say nothing!

aussiemike - really think that you need to have a better attitude if you want to rehome your cat? everyone is entitled to their opinion and as there are so many people on here trying to get homes for their pets because they are leaving the island - you have to be prepared for the questions put forward - being rude to people will not get you anywhere - as I say everyone is entitled to their opinion !

The trouble is if you are going to get all this holier than thow attitudes then people are not going to even try re-homing pets give the guy a break and let him try first. ( and yes I am an animal lover)

Good luck in finding a loving home for this little cat, he sounds wonderful.

Take no notice of all the ignorant comments. I am sure if you could take him with you , you would. Easy !!

To re-home a cat who is even a little blind in the TRNC is really hard! and i am sure as Spider says if you could take him with you, wherever you are going you would? but with an EU passport now you should be able to transport your little cat anywhere! aussiemike I'm not a do-gooder just an ordinary person who looks after her animals... either cat or dog! however long they have been with me!
