Problems with BBC iplayer - downloading Windows media versions

Just for info in case anyone is trying there is currently a problem when trying to use BBC iplayer download option 'for windows media player'. The BBC is aware of the issue and investigating accourding to their latest news annoucments here

Ironicaly is was only yesterday I suggested this was one of the best ways to test your internet download speed from the UK, as the BBC gernaly has the resources and ability to reliably pump out data :( Hopefully it will be back working as normal. The download option 'for iplayer desktop' is still working as normal but is not suitable for testing download speeds.
