What a good night we had on friday night at Kings Bar. Good food and a laugh a minute quiz, what more could anybody want. Sure there are some who want to do it down. Sad B......ds.

I don't think Gooligan quite understands that having more than 4 in a team means there is a possible unfair advantage without handicapping of some sort...



Of course the biggest handicap is not knowing the answers....



BTW, We did enjoy the tuna-pasta bake last night.....





We played the Christmas Quiz at Five Fingers on Saturday and were up against teams of up to nine! We two and our two kids on our team...one of whom wandered off with the owners' son to play. There was no handicapping and we still managed a creditable second place... We had good fun too.. Next year I'm going to get a team of ten up... ;¬)

Norma Jean,how does the handicap scoring work?

The team that came joint 1st was demoted to 3rd because they had 5 players.

If a team had only 3 players how does that affect the final scoring?

Not being confrontational but it would be handy to know for future quizzes.

The optimum team size is four, any more than that and you have to outscore the teams of four... less than four is no advantage... the quiz is aimed at teams of four getting together... but Paul and Marilyn realise that sometimes an extra bod wants to be on a team and so they allow it but put a handicapping in place to even things out... It's fair don't you think?
