| It has been this way for the past 7 years, a one off 3% for first purchase was offered at some point, but all part of living here. |

| The 3% was stopped last year and now the Advocates are not transferring titles trying to force the government to change the rate back to the 3%, my transfer is on hold till they sort it out. |

| Everyone is holding their breath and their taxes in the hope government will see sense and go back to old system for everyone. 3% first time for all Just as well TRNC is not subject to ECHR as it is a clear case of racial discrimination. |

| I did mention this in a previous posting of mine. Unfortunately the government have to pay their wages somehow and this is an easy way of obtaining more. It also has no respect for any contracts signed, dated and agreed before this legislation came into effect, being a retrospective tax. This meaning some people will have their transfers already done but they too have to pay the increase too I believe. |
