The tax aspect is pretty straight forward, Go to the tax office with the signed and notorised Contract, then once a month pay the 10%, they don't even penalise you if you miss a month or two, just pay next time.

A Tip. Keep a pocketful of small change as they never have any, they are very grateful and remember you the next time.



Go into the tax office, (Island in front of you) as you enter double doors on left of the lift/stairwell, register there and pay at desk on right.

Little bit information about rent tax.



1- first off all you should pay "Stamp Tax" not later then 30 days of the rent agreement signed date. As I remember it is %0,5 of annual rent amount. If you missed 30 day you pay some amount of penalty for late paying "stamp tax"



This tax is necessary aotherwise renter can not transfer electricty, water connection in his/her name.



You dont need to have notery seal on it (by the way there is NO NOTERY in TRNC, all of them "Certiying Officer" who only certify that signature belongs to person who sign !!!



2- if rent agreement not more than 1 year period there is no necessity for witness. (but it is better to have 2 witness signature on it in my personal opinion)



3- Then vendor pay %10 of the rent amount to the Tax Office as a "rent tax" not later 15th of every following month.

i am mate if you aint issued a contract also some of your post are against me beware seen many a unit smashed to bits burnt out buy tenants ask your mate he knows it all
