I'm actually quite good at pool Groucho and would of been there tonight to finally beat you at something (although we did draw at the quiz) but unfortunatley I have an online poker game at 9.

No doubt you'll win next time with 5 players as we are not going to Kings any more. Partly due to someone complaining to the barmaid that the same people always win... which seems a bit of a stretch after only two events... but we'd hate to be the cause of others not enjoying their evening...

However, I felt on re-reading my post (as Gooligan seemed to have taken exception to it) that it might be mis-construed that:-



A. I was implying that Gooligan was the complainer, and

B. That the I might have implied that the barmaid told me, which is not so.



As for "people who overhear usually get the gossip wrong"



I don't think it's very easy to mis-construe "Why do the same people always win" or something very similar... as you appreciate I was not a party to the conversation... but the gist seems fairly clear.
