Hi, As the name suggests I am from Dublin and I have frequently flown from Dublin to Cyprus (all airports). Until this year I have opted for Turkish via Istanbul (choose the day carefully to avoid a long stop over). The usual cost is about €420 that does not vary at all. You can travel to Dublin from Ercan in a single day, but you have to get the TK flight at 0500 from ECN to make the connection on the way back. Many people do this to travel onwards to the US to avail of the 100% US Immigration and Customs clearance so as to avoid 2/3 hour queues at JFK/BOS/ORD on arrival. This year I will be using Aer Lingus to Izmir (€68 return for me - not you!) and then probably Pegasus for the onward return connections. Feel free to mail me off board at dermot.duggan@daa.ie if you want to explore further. DD

thank you all for bothering to help. The person(mother-in-law) is following this thread, though not a memmber to forum to comment.I will ask her to contact you direct DD,if it's ok. I personally have done the route via london and often stayed overnight at my brothers, though I did do a route via Budapest, where the wait on the way back was 13 hours (sod that). thank you also Vicki.

Hi again, Following Eamonn's earlier recommendation, I have been looking at Concorde Travel website for 'direct' flights and I am surprised that they are offering flights from May through to early October. They are not cheap at about €550 or more. If your MIL opts for Belfast, I am sure those of us in the "Government controlled areas" (sorry couldn't resist) would be more than happy to give a dig out getting her from BFS to DUB. Making a connection in Turkey (Turkish or Aer Lingus) or the UK (Easyjet) could work out a lot cheaper, but if it is 'direct' you need, then you may need to pay the extra. Whatever you choose, please be assured, I will be more than willing to help out. Regards, Dermot
