Hello Static X.

I have the perfect work study and job idea, work for Mr Mehmet Talat as a Media- tor to bridge the gap in breakdown of Government services in TRNC. i.e. Planning and building departments, Permissions to purchase department. Title kocan delivery department. Stamp duty department and all other Council/Government delivery departments....

In other words there seems to be a Communication breakdown in these areas along with the Yavas Yavas usual attitude! They are either very understaffed?...or....very bloody lazy! I cannot see why it takes so long to get things done or organised in such a small Country!

Communications Media Manager! There you go theres a job for you!

Good luck!

Static. Don't let the fact that you're only 15 make you think you couldn't run TRNC government departments better than they are now.

Seriously, if you're interested in the media get in touch with Cyprus Today, Cyprus Times, BRT and other media outlets (including the south) and ask if you could help out for free in your spare time. See if you can build up a portfolio of articles with your byline to show to prospective employers.

Try and gain experience of news gathering and even do an interview with a local worthy and submit it to a paper or magazine. Remember to include the all-important "who, when, where, what, why and how" in your copy, along with all the personal details you would expect in a news story, feature or column. Ask to try multi-media like shooting for video, writing for the web etc.

Vitally, be passionate about current affairs and what's going on around you. If you don't have that along with good literacy and language skills, you won't make it in journalism.

Static x, PtePike has a valid point with regards to your age. As a young Man and your experience and feelings of TRNC you would be ideal to get involved as you probably see things in a different light to older people living in TRNC.

Also as PP says, try applying to All the Media agencies in the North and South Cyprus.
