At this time of year, if you have a pool cleaning contract your pool should be clean. Even if it is not swimming season there is no reason why cleaning should not be maintained.

Think you will agree, with the weather of the last few weeks you would need to clean it every day.

Totally agree, many pool companies fail to maintain pools in the winter when they think the owners are not around to notice.

Changed our maintenance to POOLTECH 6 months ago and cannot fault them. They come on a totally regular basis and keep the pool in first class condition. If they cannot come for some reason on the appointed day we always get a phone call to tell us. This is the type of service you don't find very often in N.Cyprus

Muffin, please do not hi jack my post to promote some one else, write your own. I think this is fair comment.

Rembrandt, Of course you are correct that the weather has been poor. However the remedy would be to remove the debris (leaves). There was some rain that was dirty but the next clean should have remove the dirt.

Gaz, I think you'll find that post 3 is called free speech. This is a public forum to help all, not a private advertising space. If you do advertise on here you will always run the risk of the competition surfacing, fact of life I'm afraid.

If a company cleaned a pool 7 days a week someone would complain it was too clean.

I've looked at some pool covers (they appear from time to time at Auctions) but they don't look as if they are made for overflow pools, only skimmers. It also seems to me that you need a considerable amount of "walk round" area at one end of your pool, and we don't I'm afraid. Nor were they made for pools with Roman Steps. Perhaps this will eventually change?

You can get an anchoring system, with spring tensioners to fit a cover on an overflow, but there is always a danger of the wind getting under it, there are ways round it though.

Roman ends pieces are commonly avaliable to attach to the end of any cover.
