does anybody know the cost of taking an extra suitcase from heathrow to ercan, i can,t get any sense on the net from Turkish Airways

Generally speaking The airlines charge £6 and upwards per kilo

Think you will find Turkish airlines charge €10 per kilo over your ticketed allowance.

I came over in December Stanstead to Ercan with Onur Air and an extra case 9kg @ £8 total £72

You can send a suitcase by overland trailer from London to Famagusta for £45 regardless of weight. Additonal cases are £40. Weekly service, transit time 10 days.
