| Someone give me help on not getting to drunk at the xmas dinner,I normally get put right next to my boss and end up giving him a few home truths.

| Drink water in between alcohol, have a wine or whatever then water, it works for me.

I've checked through our HR Manual and can suggest the following,...
1: Phone his wife beforehand, she may give you a lot more fun 'home truths'.
2: Get pi**ed earlier in the day, have a nap, you'll be sober for the dinner.
3: Disconnect any photocopiers and cut off the plugs.
4: Tell him your sister, brother, son, etc has just got a top job in HR, or as an Employment Lawyer, then slag him off as much as you like!

| I have always been told if you drink milk before hand that it lines your stomach slowing the alchol reaching your bloodstream.. not sure how true it is tho..
I personally think you give your boss a hard time because you have already decided that is what you are going to do..
Close your eyes and visualise yourself being nice to him and having a great chat.. reprogram that mind of yours Girl.. 
PS: Loving having Brits living in North Cyprus.. You are a breath of fresh air and make our sunny country even sunnier.
I know everyone is having difficulty at the mo.. I am living in London and cant sell my house to return back to Cyprus..
Its the same everywhere.. trust me.. X |
