What has his brother's activities got to do with it PB? And when did anyone's political beliefs have an effect on their selection for this particular job?

PB... As a Spurs supporter I do too. I was just saying that political beliefs, even if they were Stuart Pearce's and not his brothers, should not even be considered. Not relevant to the job are they.

I think he has shown great loyalty to the team/set-up and should be given the Euros as a trial, if he fails that test then they can look elsewhere, but as he seems to have said he doesn't want the job on a full-time basis then I guess it will end up being Harry Hotspur! Just the talk about him leaving has messed the team up, will be much worse if (when) he leaves for the England job.

A second class team needs a first class manager - but it won't help this poor English team. What a deception. With so many "eager" young players... A bleak future, guys...

And what an eye opener again about the Premier League, a disaster without foreign players. Is this English team, the top of a big country, the best the Premier League has to offer..?!

Yep, especially for Rev*, I have to rub it in, rub it in...

* Whatever you are going to say, my friend, we've seen the same match: 2 - 3. And didn't you once write: the result will be remembered..?

But Pearce says he doesn't want the job ! From media reports, he believes that he's not ready yet and needs more 'education' and OJT.

DC......it's not nice to gloat. This was only a 'friendly' and means very little. Let's see what happens in the Europe 2012 competition.

Should have won in 1974, egos got in the way

Should have won in 1978, junta got in the way

Could have won in 2010, if they had played football in the final

How many world cups have the Cloggies won?

Stuart Pearce England manager? Are you really being remotely serious? Just as well give it to Mike Bassett!

@ msg 12, Newscoop: (...) How many world cups have the Cloggies won? (...)

I would have thought you'd have known the answer: none. And every time the English team had to watch the final on TV at home. Or maybe on Barbados, holidaying. Rev, it's really silly to come back time and time again with your favourite question. Do I ask you how many times England played in WC final? Of course not. We all know that England won a World Cup in the medieval times of football.

Whats it matter how he talks, that does not win games.he could talk a load of rubbish if we win games.

also all these coaching badges you have to have now, what a load of crap.how can you teach someone how to manage a football team.everybody has there own way, some may seem crazy mad and stupid.but if you have a motivated team playing well it matters not.i used to manage a team in england and thay wanted me to take my coaching badges but i would not,how can someone tell me about football i have been in the game all my life, besides iam not having someone tell me how i should do things.i bet brian clough would have been the same...

The next Manager of course is Harry Redknap and is the best and only obvious choice.

Our Premier league is the best in the World and is the envy of all football loving Nations.

I would struggle to name more than 2 or maybe 3 decent Dutch teams Crusader and of course they could never attract decent foreign players.

How the mighty have fallen

Back in medieval times the Dutch league was worthy of respect

Sadly now it is probably on a par with the SPL

Which is why all its best players go to foreign climes.

Still, at least the Dutch are tops at speed skating and er, crikey this is a short list.

Please NO! Psycho is no where near good enough to be the next England manager. He's probably dumber than Redknap which is very difficult to be. He has been fortunate to manage a plethora of eager young under 21's (right time, right place ) but in my humble opinion, his ignorance knows no boundaries !
