Teddy it's a bit of a nonsense but the answer is yes, to comply with the motor regs you should have mud flaps.. We bought a brand new car and it came without... then we got stopped and told that we must have them... Seems it's legal to sell a car that is illegal on the road... which is to say the least very Cypriot!

No they will not put them on for you. Take your car to the garage at Erdeners at Karakum and they will do it probably for nothing( at least they did for me)

just had my car moted, had to fit mudflas too, also the car must be spotlessly clean inside , under the bonnet and outside. The garage is not like a garage or mot station as we know it in the uk. they do not do any work on the car if it fails. You need an up to date emission test too.

Sorry only just logged on. If you take the road towards Esentepe Karakum is about 3 miles maximum. The garage is on your left next to a small supermarket called Erdeners.(opposite Ozankoy turn off

gibson335 Thank You so much, got the mud flaps, then went to your garage, they fitted them, I asked how much they said 15ytl which is good Went to the MOT place and is was PPPPPPP down I don't think the guy wanted to go out in it as the garage was full doing police work, all he did was look at the mud flaps walked round the car, then back in the office to write out a new MOT how great was that, running round getting fire extinguisher/triangles etc and he didn't look at them, soi a very happy bunny today, many thanks for the info smithy
